Great work and concept.

Very well, you worked through the drawing and the concept very nicely. The concept itself is simple - yet effective, and it works. The drawing is extremely expressive; I both adore and fear the expression on the little girl's face. Nice shading also! Top rating is surely deserved.

Wow, thanks for all your feedback. I totally didn't expect such a mass of positive response, so I'm kinda stunned here
Glad you all like it. It's one of the pictures that's more important to me, since it's content goes beyond my standard fantasy-themes.

@Cigaro: Yes, that shadow gave me a hard time. It's less than perfect, since the shadow that her right arm should cast is also missing. In the end I just tried to makee it look alright. I'll try to bring variety into the tonal values, that might be because it looks awkward.
