Description
I started this a long time ago, then let it rest for a few months and finished it some days ago. Not particularly happy with the outcome. It feels as if there are tons of mistakes in it and I can't see them. So all criticism is very welcome, since I'm intending to rework it again (once I see the mistakes).It's based on the medieval story "Lanval" by Marie de France.
" 'Comrade,' they said, 'here comes one,
Who is neither swart nor dun.
Of all women by land and sea,
She is the fairest that may be.'
Lanval heard and raised his eye;
He knew her well and gave a sigh.
The blood shot up into his cheeks,
And somewhat hastily he speaks:
'In faith,' he said, 'that's my amie!
Now I don't care if they kill me
If but her mercy is assured,
For when I see her, I am cured.' "

This has a very classic feel to it and the composition is excellent. Great use of colours and beautiful execution!
